Stevenson also expressed interest in facing Gary Antuanne Russell, the WBA super-lightweight champion, and Lamont Roach, who is set to battle William Zepeda for the vacant WBC lightweight title on August 1.

In a recent interview, Stevenson emphasized the competitive nature of these potential bouts, stating, "[They’re] all big fights; [they’re] all competitive to where these guys are coming in to whoop my ass, and I’m coming in to whoop [they’re] ass." O’Shaquie Foster, who recently faced off against Stevenson, has voiced skepticism regarding the Newark native's focus on other fighters instead of accepting a challenge from him. Foster claims Stevenson has shifted his priorities, stating, "He’s throwing people out there instead of himself getting that field."
